if you haven't seen it, some good stuff on there. apes of wrath @ the ken @ 2:10pm, with echo revolution thereafter, and team abraham after them. predicates @ "smitty's service" at 4:35. anna troy band at lestats around 6pm, and the might that can only be described as Secret Apollo back at the ken at 6:30pm. what a saturday. wham bam bamina. just hoping i can recover from the casbah night tonight early enough to get to my grandparents' house early enough tomorrow AM to eat lunch quick enough to get to adams ave by 2... keeping fingers crossed...

monday's been a busy posting day, but wanted to also note that this thursday we're the local member of the day on fm 94/9. they'll be playing "Her Political Heart" around 9pm on 94.9fm in san diego. listen in your car, or at home, or if you aren't in San Diego, you can stream it online here. in fact, in support of that CD release show on sunday, there's quite a few of the compilation folks as "members of the day". check full listing here.

This Sunday, We Go BIG!!!

so the moment we've all been waiting for, the famed free casbah show this Sunday and TV performance on KUSI!

first, casbah .... Doors are at 7:30pm, all attendees will get in free, and receive a free compilation CD featuring us, secret apollo, anna troy, action andy and his haunted honky tonkers, echo revolution and a slew of other great bands. i make note of those ones as they'll all be playing with us that night. get there early and enjoy stellar sets from all.

Hard. in addition to the previously announced 2/29 ken club and 3/7 beauty bar (both fridays for those who can't stand midweek shows) ... how about an all ages saturday show and a free sunday at the casbah? yeah, cause we're that nice. here's how it's looking ....

The Casbah show will be extra good as we're playing with Secret Apollo, Anna Troy, Echo Revolution and Andy & The Haunted Honky Tonkers. apparently The show is FREE!!! (wha?!) ... a FREE compilation will be given out (free music,what/!?) and the drinks .... will still cost money. but with all that money you'll save at the door and on merch, you can now buy enough booze to get you and your friends drunk without breaking the bank (and still afford the taxi home). yay sundays!

decent takes & silver lakes

so matt and i took a listen last night to the first round of songs. The instrument tracks sound pretty darn good so I think we're well on our way. next round of recording set for 8/4.

also, we just set up another show at the silverlake lounge in Los angeles Aug. 21st. We'll be playing with a new band, Hot TV, featuring Mark Bertuldo (the guy who did the orchestral parts on "for goodness' sake" on our last album). It's his new band, and it'll be their first show, should be awesome. more bands TBA.

and in case you hadn't noticed, despite our recording this whole month, it hasn't detered us from booking the crap out of every venue and band we can get our hands on. the breakdown of shows (thus far):
